Berl Kaufman has 30 years of experience in financial services, with a majority of that time as a consultant performing systems and data integration and leading small to mid-sized teams.    Berl is fluent in the language of Finserve  and the technical components that support that industry, including investment banking, commercial banking, insurance, investment management, broker/dealer back and middle office and all manner of trading and transaction processing.

In addition to integration, Berl’s roles have included technical and business strategy work for large scale projects, including a middle-office spin-off for a major clearing corporation that involved a consortium of major institutional broker/dealers; a data warehouse project for a major insurer’s asset management division and a cash liquidity build-out for a corporate treasury department.

During his tenure at Deloitte, Berl became adept at juggling multiple projects spanning multiple locales.  Having experienced many projects as a project manager, business analyst and technical architect, Berl began writing extensively about project risk management and has become an expert on this topic, focusing on ROI calculation and project risk modeling.

Berl holds a degree in Applied Mathematics from New York University.
